Does anyone know where I can buy a bayonet lug like this? For some demented reason I want to mount a bayonet on my MR-1. It has a skinny 0.5" barrel so if the lug mount is larger I'll shim it with something.

I bought an AR front sight of the EE.

I plan to cut it down, have it threaded for cross bolts and then clamp it onto the thinner MR1 barrel, possibly with a spacer between the lug and barrel.

Here it is hanging off the barrel with the sight erased.

I've got the flashhider from my ACR on the Tavor, and the bayo on the photo and one other one will slip right over it, if I have the bayo lug far enough back. I have two other bayos with tighter rings, however. So yes and no.

Corwin-Arms sells them.

I actually have one kicking around here somewhere. I was going to mount it to my 10/22, because as anyone in Miramachi will tell you, the 10/22 is an evil assault weapon in need of tight regulation.

It works with STANAG compatible bayonets (M16/AR15 style bayonets).

I ordered one too. I'll have to rig up a spacer because the MR1 barrel is really skinny.

Because we can! That's why!

Did the ring on your M7 bayonet fit into the groove on you flash hider?

Mine is too wide for the grooves in my Norico birdcage.

The Flash hider grooves aren't for bayonets, but other accessories that clamp directly to the flash hider. Bayonets are meant to just hang off the barrel

The only thing I can think of that goes into the grooves are blank firing adapters. Longer compensators from different manufacturers have these grooves but a standard BFA built for an A2-style compensator will not fit on those so I guess it's just good form to add them.

They will work with Type 97. However original mount for Type 97 is on the gas block so for the mount bayonet handle needs to be shorten by 9mm. As long as the bayonet you would like to use has the back end secured with hex bolt that bayonet can easily be shorten. That how they look on type 97
