Barrel mount bayonet lug

To ShawnC6

They will work with Type 97. However original mount for Type 97 is on the gas block so for the mount bayonet handle needs to be shorten by 9mm. As long as the bayonet you would like to use has the back end secured with hex bolt that bayonet can easily be shorten. That how they look on type 97

I might set that a bit further back. On my AR, the handguard ring ends up being in line with the rear of the flash hider.

The reason - with the setup you have, the muzzle flash is going to scorch the handle of the bayonet. At the very least, it's going to get covered in soot over time. Worst case, if it's a polymer grip, it will melt (especially if you do mag dumps).

Overall, that's one heckuva MR1 setup. I keep trying to convince myself I don't "need" an MR1, but you keep posting pics of yours, and my will to resist keeps fading.

I wish I could say the same about my personal budget ;)

That is a slick looking rig.

Minute of gopher to 150 yards in practical field shooting?

Maybe with handloads and a bipod.

I just shoot cheap surplus ball in it because my requirements are rapidly hitting 8" pie plates from 0 - 200 meters which it does. For the 0-15m pie plates I use the laser.
