Currently amassing my parts for my first build & was wondering if anyone could provide some insight or experiences on barrels avail currently?

Only stipulations I have is it will be configured to a low-pro gas block with irons initially, then an optic later in life. Somewhere in the CQB or SBR ranges of 10.5" - 14.5" length with a 9" YHM Diamond Specter Free Float Rail system.

So do I go Noveske, LMT, S&J, ATRS/Lilja/RockCreek or NEA?
Pencil, Heavy or Gov't Profile?

Depending what you price range and how long you want to wait.

We have the S&J Hardware ones as well. $224.99. 10.5", 11.5" and 14.5". We usually have lots of NEA ones as well but they are sold out at the moment...more 10.5" and 7.5" ones will be arriving shortly. If you get a nitrated barrel make sure its one that the barrel and extension are nitrated seperately. AR15.co* has numerous threads about peoples barrels coming unscrewed from the extension. if done at the same time.
