barrel reboring in Canada?

i would accept a rebore to 308 but is that kosher to an old norwegian krag action ?

i know THERE was a thread discussing a while back on 308 krags on this site before ....
whats the ball park cost of a rebore ?

Would not just be a re-bore, as you would have to set the barrel back to clean up the 6.5x55 chamber. Pressure issues aside, in the end, it would be cheaper to buy a new barrel or find one that is not shot out.

What about re sleeving? Is that the same thing?
I have two non high value guns I would like to fix up.
An old schmidt rubin in 30-30, and a very nice P14.
Together they aren't worth more than about $450.
The schmidt has some throat erosion ( at the start of the rifling) but the rest looks ok. The P14 saw a life of corrosive and is pitted throughout. Especially at the muzzle.
What to do?
