I have a couple of older . 22 that im thinking about putting barrel sleves into, ( the barrels are frosty and pitted in the bore) .
Has anyone done this and what aprox cost ? and anywhere in Alberta that does this service . seems relatively inexpensive in the States .

i would drop a line to Ellwood Epps too, they do a surprising amount of "odd jobs"

i had a browning trombone for years that was ridiculously accurate. upon selling it the buyer asked me if i was the one tha had had the sleeve put in - i did not even know it had one at the time! point being is that they work quite well. and that poor rifle survived me and two enthusiastic boys and all their friends.

good luck and good shooting!

This essentially involves running a 5/16 piloted drill bit down the bore and then epoxying in the liner (redman), trimming and then running a chamber ream. If you end up doing more than one or two, the tool investment probably makes it worth while for the home hobbiest. If you start from the chamber end, it is possible to stop drilling just before the muzzle, if you want to make it even harder to tell that the barrel has been relined.
