Barrel storage

Just wondering how everyone stores spare barrels for their shotguns. I recently acquired an extra barrel and I am concerned about storing it. The barrel is too short to reach the standoffs that the rest of my guns lean against. I only have a stackon cabinet and not a safe so the walls are steel. My concern is about the barrel rusting or getting scratched. Do they make sleeves for barrels for this purpose.

you can make up a short sock for it or buy a full length sock and fold it over.
Oil it up and leave it in there.:>)

I bought a cheap Plano case for just that reason, Get the double rifle case at canadian tire when they go on sale, and problem solved, got 4 barrels in mine right now.
used a gun sock for awhile to.
