Barrel swap question

I have a husky 8mm rifle. I also have a Parker Hale 243 barrel. My question is can the 243 barrel be put on the husky. I believe the cases are similar. The 243 is based on the 30.06 is it not? And I remember hearing that 9.3x57 cases can be made from the 30.06. The 9.3 is the same case as the 8mm? The
Parker Hale is based on the m98? This is just an idea. Would get a qualified smith to do the swap. Thanks for the help.

Yes, if your "husky" is a large ring FN or M98, the Parker Hale barrel will just screw into place. No guarantee that the sights will be top side up, or that the headspace will be correct. If your "Husky" is a 1600 or later series, you are out of luck - I believe the "huskies" are all small ring mauser threads
 
If both are large ring, the .243 barrel could be fitted. Based on my experience working with PH Mausers, tolerances are quite variable, so a lathe might be necessary.
If the Swede is small ringed, the PH barrel could still be installed, but the threads would have to be recut on a lathe, and the barrel fitted.
Before doing any work, see if the rifle will feed .243.
