When shooting 38 sp target loads with my 38/ 357 revolvers I sometimes wonder how warm the barrel can get without causing wear?
Same question for a smith 22 revolver I have using "regular" federal champion jacketed ammo.
I want to keep 2 of my revolvers for a long time.
So I let them cool once they get warm to the touch.
Is this overdoing it?
