Benched one of my O/U today to see what was going where. When sighting flat down the rib, and the bead placed over top of the aiming point, these are the results at 30 yards...

As you can see the bottom barrel is patterning quite low, while the top barrel is pretty much dead on. Is this something I should be concerned about and have warrantied? Or is there not that much of a difference between them and I should just go shoot? Planning on using this for trap and skeet, probably not hunting.

Thanks for any input!

Ps. sorry for the crappy pics. Tough to get the light to show the holes well.

Go out and shoot some targets with it and see how the targets are breaking if they are being chipped or hit hard and powdered then decide on what to do patterning is a mathematical test it does not take into account shot string, follow through, .

I'm in the same boat with the shotgun that I'm using for the occasional trap session. In my case it's shooting slightly high and to the right. But I want to wait to see how well the full choke tube that is coming in works out before panicing.

What I'm wondering is is it is possible to "pull" the center of the pattern over a little by slightly altering the angle of the "crown" on the choke tube. Or if it is possible to lightly open one side of the choke tube to pull the pattern over. I'm thinking something like superfine sandpaper or a rubberized polishing abrasive wheel in a Dremel to basically polish off a thou or so and not any serious metal removal.

I know that the shot string and follow through issue is important along with a few other things but it's nice to know that the pattern is going where the barrel is pointed and not over to one side or the other. It's one less thing to compensate for in how the shotgun sits against the cheek and the eye is positioned down the rib.
