Barrett 98B or PGW C14 Timberwolf??

Talked to Ross @ PGW for weeks now. Was very honest with him regarding my status on the order with regards to my funds clearing the typical bank hold of 10 days. He stated that the rifle was ready for shipment. Placed the order finally last Monday and was waiting for the confirmation that the order went through as requested. No word at all and was put on the back burner. Really bummed out but I don't support these types of transactions. I don't understand how an order can only be put through 1 person? I took his word on Monday in my phone conversation where he requested information right away in order to have the transaction complete before his trip overseas on Wednesday.

I really love the look, feel and performance of the PGW50 but now looking for an alternative. Any opinions on the AX50? Who has one and what is your review. I know that TSE is also selling a 50 but I don't like the heavy look of the rifle. I have TSE currently looking for the price and delivery for the DSR50. I sold my business and am looking for a trophy / reminder / keep sake of my business. I might be an ####### for not going through with this purchase from Ross but I personally feel justified for my actions. I might be comparing business practices and may be wrong regarding his approach. I have no regrets.

You could always rethink owning a Nemesis. It is THE best available, and I still have access to the last AMSD made rifle available. To have 1 of only 10 ever imported into North America is something not everyone can boast. AND they are less $$ than the SAN version of the same rifle. You know we have an AX as well so you are in a unique position of being able to handle a Nemesis, an AX and a PGW all in 1 place at 1 time.
And you already know what our customer service is like.:D

You sound like a woman.....

Do keep in mind PGW has dealing with much larger customers than you! Maybe he should have put off his trip to take care of you.

Your weird

Why thank you! Your the best! I really value your opinion. Actually because Ross was so busy with much better and larger world wide customers I thought it would be polite and just get out of his way. Why would he want to deal with a weirdo like me? Who the heck am I?

Are you lonely? Must be if guys sound like a woman to you? I never asked for your opinion on my issue with Ross just on the other 50cal options.

Oh boy...

BS, that was a plug.....

If you want other 50 options read the other posts and ask questions, don't hijack this post to sooth yourself

I was posting for those who might be making a purchase from PGW based on the wow factor of this thread. I still like the firearm I just can't understand the disrespect? I did everything that was asked of me and what?

So - Do you have an opinion on the AX50? Or the Nemisis? Can we just be friends on CGN? Can't we just all get along.

I'm going to step in here with out knowing 100% of the facts. Ross was away at SHOT for 4 days or so, returned home for 4 days and then took off out of country for another 8, on business, not a vacation. Ross has a family that would like to see him during those few days too. Considering there are a lot of things that need to be taken care of with international travel, and things that you can't possibly be told regarding our business that are important. I do know there is a .50 sitting in the vault completed with shipping labels made up, but things just didn't work out. You can believe that there is only one person that can handle transactions of this sort. I don't know anything about processing credit cards, or doing the banking, or the transfer. There are many aspects of my job that nobody else can do, and sometimes things get shuffled due to the situation. My contact with Ross since he left has been VERY limited, and has been directly related to where he is and what he is doing. If you can't wait a week to get this sorted out, then it is your right to move on to other potentially inferior products.

Sorry for the poke in the ribs there Steve. There is lots to the Story and it was over months not just a week and I admit that most of the delay is from my end and Ross is aware. I am more than willing to discuss with the both of you anytime when you have a moment. Ross could have told me about his schedule being really tight and by all means I would understand and have done so. I'm old fashioned I guess. If you take an order you take an order. I understand that I'm wrong for believing so and am only worthy of an inferior product. I apologize for my stupidity and bothering in the first place.

You're not bothering me. The point is despite great efforts on the part of both sides, sometimes things don't work out. I understand you have been inquiring about a purchase for a while, but the actual financial end came through right in the midst of all of Ross' travels. I can see you being pissed off if the gun was for a competition, or a hunt or another special circumstance, but to get upset because you are excited is unfair to us.

Since this is a hijack, and much better dealt with via emails or pm, please consider taking this off the thread for now.

I wish I was upset because I was excited... And no I did not need the rifle right away. The delivery could have taken a year for all I care. I had other obligations which required my Visa which I put on hold based on the expectation that Ross was going to complete the transaction before he left for overseas as per his instructions. This is where I had the time sensitive issue and was the deal breaker. If Ross stated that he would have to deal when he gets back or please contact Steve we would not be here airing laundry on CGN. If you need to save face and make me the a**hole let me save you the time and effort and just admit that I'm an a**hole. Can we move on or should I start a thread?

Pm anytime

Masic seams to have a lot of heated discussions on more then just one thread, This guy must be very passionate about guns! Interesting character i bet.

Masic when you get you next 50 what ever you decide to buy I hope I'm still invited to come shooting with you. I'm very curious to meet you in person.

Sounds like a plan! I'm not that passionate about firearms. I'm also the exact opposite from a fabricated profile. Thanks for taking your time and doing a history check. cou:

I would really like you to shoot my modified HS50 and give me your honest opinion good or bad so heck yeah on the invite!

Regarding my as stated "passionate" ????
I'm tired of the fanboy, naysayer, baiting type treatment as seen in the past. I would participate a ton more but am reserved for the above reason. My battle in the PDW thread was me just replying to statements made and me taking offense to comments made by people who aren't like they project in real life. My comments about PGW is the same as any review about any supplier by anyone as found on this site and yes with a hint of a #####y rant for a dream shattered. Now I'm obligated personally to not purchase a potential inferior product lol. I'm also a non supporter of people who have been or still are employed by government agencies who feel above the next person and require constant recognition.

I am worth 5 points and my infractions for defending a professional who died in the line of duty over a general comment from another professional stating an unethical comment about hurdling the weak and trampling the dead. This is where I took the most offense and still stand my ground specially based on the history. I'm ashamed personally and am saddened about Internet personalities.

People are tougher, ###ier, smarter and god sent on the internet these days lol. Me? Well I admit who I am based on the conversation.

My real "passion" is about this community and other fellow firearm owners and our rights. Power in numbers and I'm just doing my part.

Sorry for the off topic but back to my obligation. I'm selling what I don't need for what I do want and firearms are of the list. It's just that im not allowed on the EE.

Might get banned again for the love of the sport.

Sounds good, once i am geared up i will make a trip to Calgary, Well go shoot some stuff, who knows, i may even make a quick stop at the french maid before wondering home
