If I read the description correctly, it doesn't range nor adjust your reticle for you. If just provides a 'number' based on input and measured parameters. You take that number and dial up. Sort of a scope mounted ballistics program computer with a weather station of sorts built in.
If I am right, then the turrents are going to be hard to use/see with that screen/unit in the way. If it can mechanical dial up the turrent, then that is neat and more reflective of the price.
For those who have seen the unit, what does it actually do?
I am waiting for an improvement in the present rangefinding scopes to include an LCD reticle/screen or hologram that will adjust elevation based on ranged target and ballistics solution. Think jet fighter HUD. there are units being R&D'ed that will do just this.
See a reticle with information listed to the sides and bottom. A stock mounted keypad to choose options or to accept parameters. One millisecond later, the computer changes the location of the reticle to adjust. Hold dead on and let her rip.
Now that would be interesting and a better use for 3lbs of optics.
