Barrett MRAD or Desert Tech SRS-A1

I own an AI and love it, but I acknowledge the DTA is just as good, it's just different. Heck they have the same bolt handle lol.

I take Brian46's opinion as gold. Anyone who's found himself behind all 3 of those gets my attention.

Next question: how the F did the get yourself behind all of those??

That is 100% an opinion, not fact. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, and mine is Desert Tech.

Yup, that is exactly correct. I don't own either, so my opinion probably isn't worth much on the matter.

When I was at the 2015 Snipers Hide Cup, I spoke to more than a few people running the SRS A1 rifle. Some of them didn't seem that convinced of the system, and if they were to do it over again they would have went with a different rifle. It doesn't help that the magazines can be pretty fickle. Talking with AI owners, not a single person was disappointed with their rifle.

However, some people absolutely love the DT SRS system. Before purchasing, I would try getting behind one to see if it is your cup of tea or not. I personally would go AI, but that's just my opinion.

If there's a catastrophic failure, I'd rather have it right at my head and finish me off rather than leave me with half a face, and brain.....

I'm guessing that you were talking to someone one the MRAD or AI sales team?? (but not the 95 or 99 sales team.....)

Actually, the comment was made by a forum sponsor who is very respected among the precision rifle community.

It's proving to be a real pain to get any pricing or info on DT and the AI, looking more and more like it will be the Barrett.

Don't you hate that? It seems with highend products it's difficult getting prices cause I guess most people aren't serious. I finally was able to get a price and timeline for a Schmidt and Bender after the 3rd dealer! I bought it the same day, that's how badly I wanted it.

Who have you contacted? Reliable gun in Vancouver recently called me and asked me if I was interested in Desert Tech as they are now Importing them.

They provided me with pricing on what I needed and placed my order. Very proactive of them I might add for them to cold call people looking to sell such nice products.

Just picked up a desert tech SRS-A1 with two custom barrels made for it, 22" 308 and 30" 338LM. Barrel change took me less than 30 seconds and I was being careful my first time. Trigger is excellent Accuracy off a brand new barrel was excellent as well. They are expensive but if you can afford it they have my vote.
