Barricade Stops on Manners Stocks

i will be adding a CTR to the Tac 21 and fab up a Barrier stop.

Adding weight in the buffer to balance the rifle to the stop.

Heavier has it place but not when it can also fail with the smallest of ooops

That is not a buttstock idea I would want in a working rifle if my A$$ was depending on it. I wouldn't want it on my PRS style rifle either.

Having competed in a variety of shooting sports, I get a giggle at how awkward the generic tactical rifle build is. Designed for prone and even then, not ideal.

We will get a chance to look at how things change over the next 4 to 5 yrs wrt to good ergonomics and layout. Very early days so you have a wide range of "good" ideas...and getting rid of alot of old ideas. Eventually, there will be the ideas that last because they are the most effecient and effective.

PRS rifle is going through a huge Darwinian period.... made more interesting by how rules will evolve.

I don't see lot of rifles over 15lbs in the next few seasons.... Given what tech we could use if manf thought a bit harder... we would be around 8lbs without optics and even this is being generous.

My current build is 8lbs 4oz ( no optics and bipod) and it is all off the shelf stuff so far... and all very low tech. So I am making it REAL easy to use better tech to build lighter rifles that will also shoot.

I bet that will be something of interest to the boys in camo....

No offence Jerry but I don't think you have a clue about what the boys in camo want use or need.

Where can someone pick up a barricade stop like that? Will it fit your average aftermarket bottom metal? I'm thinking MDT HS3 or LSS XL?

Thanks,
Cal.
