Finishing packing my stuff for the match. Hope to see some of you guys there. I am on the 1PM Squad but plan to be there in time to check out the 11AM Squad . I will be the guy in tan cargos , OD golf shirt and green Cabela’s hat.

See you there

What a super fantastic match. I had a blast. Thanks to the girls and guys who helped set up and run the match. It was fun dusting off the shotgun and rifle. It was nice seeing 10+1 rounds fired out of an AR. Thanks to Questar for all their hard work for making this a reality. Hope to see everyone at ESSA for the next match. I need more mags.

hehe, I won't be adding another (pistol) win to my list, haha, 3 out of the 5 stages had Mikes on them (1 each)!!! Arrgg!! Stupid ones, too...

I think that, scoring wise, I'll do much better in rifle (even shooting a 9mm Ruger PC9) than in pistol, and pistol is my main one, and rifle was just for fun... The only MIke I had with rifle was the clay (well, at 80yards with a 9mm subgun? Not surprising ;) )

Lots of fun... great first outdoor match of the season!

I had a great time!

Left yesterday morning at 5:15 am

Got home at 11:35 pm.

Blew up my 1911s barrel!!! (anyone got a spare?)

But.............

Spent the day with MY SON shooting a 3 gun match. That my friends is PRICELESS!!

I will DL some vids later!

Thanks again to the Barrie crew for an excellent match!

Oh edited to add......The EESA Crew was looking mighty fine in our new Team shirts!

Was a good match. Had a great time. Was on Storm’s squad. Shooting my AR with 10rd. Mags was :dancingbanana:
Forgot my hat and camera at home. Luckily the guy from the IPSC store was there and I got myself a IPSC hat.

That thing of yours rocket powered? We made it home about that time and we only had about 180 Km to your what about 250 Km

If you are posting vids feel free to post any with me in them.

Edited to add the shirts did look good. I think I am going to have to talk the people at work tomorrow about getting some made up for my club. It’s kind of lame that I work for a company that makes that stuff and we don’t have club shirts.

Thanks

Thanks to all who helped build and RO the match. Without all of your hard work matches like this would not be possible.

Hope all the competitors enjoyed the match. See you at the next one.

are the scores going to get posted on the regular web site? I"m just asking because I think last month's level 2's scores still aren't up on Bud's page...

Thanks!

^interesting...nice to see the 10rds getting used..I dont think my stockpile will arrive before your match though. How were the 10rds overall? Good? Or did you have some with spring issues?

Here is "Diablo" shooting his first Rifle stage.................The last wall was too tall and he had to stand on Tippy toes..I am note sure what the hell happened on his last shot as it was all factory ammo.........watch for the muzzle blast!

Looks like he's having fun - you must be one proud papa!

Thanks for the video!

What was the longest distance shot at this rifle match?

On a slightly different slant; I've seen target / wall placement like that too many times to not say something - whoever is setting up these matches like that - please stop!

A 4' wall on it's side + a target 5' away on the ground is simply unfair to anyone shorter than average; women and juniors.
Diablo should not have had to get to his tippy toes. We're testing shooting skill, not your height.

Talk about having fun............

Here is the "longest range" shot....I would say about 85 yards at 4 targets and a clay bird.

"Diablo" elected to run up to the forward fault line...........I explained the math and how it was not worth the time to run that far to try and get the shot. He replied...."but I want to run"..........LOL! Kids!

Needless to say he RAN...........while giving his battle cry.......aahhhhhhhh. LOL! The grin on his face was worth the whole day!!

No issues with the 10 rounders at all.............although I did see at least one competitor dump his after five rounds out of habit!!!

I just ordered 3 myself!

Ah, but he, unlike most of us - doesn't need to call for oxygen after a 50 yard run. :D

Glad to see some longer shots in that match too!

You need to make it to an EESA 3 gun match!
We do have a nice 300m range you know.

Unfortunately, we are in the midst of some re-construction this spring and as such I have not planned anything over 100 yards for this Mays event.
