Barrie provincials - match comments + some results now too

Thanks, it was a close race, #2 came in about 10 points behind (98.88%, I think).

[official results posted]

Well, I learned a lot from this match, I know what I need to work on. I didn't do as well as I thought I did on some stages, but I know what the issues were.

So, Kingston should be fun!! In the meanwhile, practice, practice, practice...

Ohhh, once again, for the 3rd ( I think ) time I totally ignored the disappearing drop turners, and I won the stage. My approach to these targets seems to be paying off, despite what lots of people tell me about them... ;)

Congrats Omen...the new Ontario Prod champ...

Just got in the door...and I'm emailing in the results so they should be on the website first thing in the morning...

Cheers

hey, looking at the scores, assuming the class entries are correct, Musky will get top B AND will get bumped to A too, hehehe ;) In fact, Rob S, top D, might get bumped all the way to B, with his 61% score... Lots of people did very well, above their current classes - that's great!

P.s. HOLLY ####, I just had a look at the Std results - yeah, looks like taking the winter off from shooting didn't really get in the way of Mike B's peformance... ####... I'm glad that when he's toying with the idea of trying out other divisions, his sights are on Open, not on Prod...

BIG CONGRATS TO OMEN! Props to Kent, Rob, and all the guys at Barrie.

I had a blast, one of the best matches i have been too. The stages were excellent, my FAVORITE was the one with the bridges + wall climb!

This match consisted of allot of hard shots, i loved it. I love the drop turners and swingers, much like Area 7.

The price of admission was paid for to watch Mike L scream with joy after doing the bridge stage.

I loved the match as well.. I just wish I'd been able to finish it.

Shot it on Wednesday and we were rained out.
I think I still had 4 or 5 stages to go

What a match.. It was my first level III, and I have to say.. Cudo's to the Barrie Gang.. that's a lot of work to put on a match like that..

Notes:

The wagger on stage 1 was a bit nuts.. The drop turners where good, but the speed on the wagger was a bit past "challenging" going on "lucky".

The cross connected activators where a nice addition, giving a bit of choice on how to shoot some of the stages.

The bridges where a nice challenge, not to hard to navigate if you knew your own speed, and how fast you could handle them.

The cooper tunnel was ok for us tall guys, so no probs there.

I ended up in the 70% on Production. (not bad for my 6th match overall ;) )

It was 12 hours looooong... Started at 9:00 finished at 8:30...

By about 6 when we had only shot 10 out of the 12 stages and it was raining I was totally checked out... Never had such a long day of waiting around, next time I'm coming prepared with a gameboy.

The match was really cool, I liked most of the stages. #1 didn't get me too bad, did both activators, the drop turners and then the outsides. I just hated how unbelievably slow it was, reminded me of playing golf on a Saturday afternoon... Waiting for all the old ladies to finish up :p

That being said, next year I'll either shoot on a less crowded day or skip it all together just because of the insane wait times.

That being said, I still want to thank the RO's for all their hard work.

I'm somehow not surprised that you couldn't find anyone to while away the time talking.

That's a lot easier to say when you were not there for 12 hours soaking wet from the rain in the afternoon. You shot on Friday, that was a whole different ball game...

It doesn't matter how many people you talked to, (I was there with a group of 4) your cold, your wet, and it sucks... but thank you for the sarcastic comment, it was appreciated :)

Naw, I just RO'd in the rain. That was tons of fun.

(not related to this, just a comment): people who don't want to shoot a level 3 in the rain need to stay away from the Quebec Provincials, eh :D

If you do not like waiting or getting rained on you mite want to take up another sport.

Some times long waits can not be helped. Props break, large squads , not every body helps reset the stage . There are 100's of reasons for long wasits.
It does not matter level 1,2or3 it just happen some times. As for weather no body can controle waether. So if it rains or snows or what ever you have to just suck it up or quiet.

Just my 2 cents
