I may be picking up a Sako TRG-22 in .308 next week if a deal can be worked out. What would be a quality way to go on the scope setup? The rifle has integrel groves, 17mm and is also tapped for scope bases. What would be my best option and do I need the 20 moa bases?
Not sure what I am putting on for a scope yet but will get the best I can afford. Thanks for any input on this. Cheers Roscoe

I am running Sako's 3-ring mount on both my 22 and 42 and am pleased with this set-up. It has 30moa built in which has been adequate for the shooting I have done thus far( 1100 meters).

People complain about the price of Sako accesories but they are extremely well made and integrate perfectly. Actually If you consider the price of a picatiny rail/ring set-up from Near Mfg. or the like, the Sako mount no longer seems so ridiculous price wise.

There are some cheaper options for sure but TRG and cheap usually don't associate with one another. :p

I have near rings and base for my Sako guns and I highly recommend them despite the cost. If you spent already 3.5k on your TRG, then why cheap out on a crappy mount and ring. It's like buying a Porsche 911, but using a set of steelies.

Near makes good rings, I prefer sako factory mounts, they are in my opinion a significant step up from near and cost is similar. You can buy sako rings, or the one piece sako mount that comes with three integrated rings. Sako does know what they are doing.

Had a look at near manufacture Alpha mount, and picatiny rail, Got to say: First Class product, price wise not bad at all for Quality work.
