I bought a rem 5r and a 6-24x50 viper scope, now I have to get the hardware to put it together, does anyone have a rifle like this and a scope with he same bell size that can recommend some stuff? I don't want a big gap between the scope bell and barrel. Mystic mentioned a ferral 20moa base and I was thinking Burris sig zee rings to keep the scope mint, but was wondering if this would mount the scope to high, make for a not very good cheek weld or making it not able to zero scope in at 100. Sorry for the rant, I'm open to all suggestions.

My 5r is running a weaver base and medium leopold rings my scopes also 50mm objective. The bell to barrel gap is about 1/4" and to me there is a good cheek weld. As far as 100yd zero goes., yes you will be able to get one but why bother ? The 5r is a much more capable rifle then that, and 100 is to close anyway it masks 90% of all shooter error
