Considering that both Redding and Lee now offer a case base sizing process I am wondering the necessity of only in 40 S&W (and presumably 10mm as well) from the same die. Is there something inherent in this case diameter that requires sizing when other calibres do not?

Formerly Glock .40s had a reputation of brass having a bulge at the base due to a partially unsupported chamber.
Mostly it was the .40 cal glocks people were having trouble with.
Glocks since generation 3 have had a fully enclosed chamber, however perhaps some other types of guns and the older glocks do not hence the base resizing dies.
