Bases and Rings for Kimber 84M ?

anyone scoped a Kimber 84m recently?

I've got the Kimber Redfield pattern, the Talley ring bases and the Leupold double dovetail. The Kimber base looks like it grew there, the Talley is ugly(that's being nice) and my favorite double dovetail probably does overhang the action. I say probably because it gets the rear ring a little farther forward which for me is a plus. I'd have to check that to verify, I'm going by memory. That will take a few days, I'm not home at the moment.

Started out with Talley Lwt. lows on mine and couldn't get behind the scope..
Did some figuring and ordered some highs, but they didn't show up in a timely fashion so I bought some mediums that were in stock..
The mediums barely work for me, and highs would be better..
Why high rings for me?
Because the top of the receiver is closer to the bore on these small ring action rifles and their stock is quite straight..
That and I am a big guy and wear a size 8 hat..
Unlike Dogleg I like my scopes mounted further back..
Everybody has different ideas of how a scope should be set up to accommodate their size and style of shooting so it is hard to make a recommendation as to what someone else needs..

If you decide that you want to try some Talley Lwt. mediums I think I know were you could get a used pair.

hint

Dogleg, the double dovetail rear base that I have has a longer front end that over hangs the action, if you reverse it the extra length will over hang out back and the bolt will hit just before full lift. Your bases may differ.

Reversing the rear mount of the double dovetail allows that option. The Kimber base doesn't IIRC, and the Talley does
Actually I was talking about Talley Lwt. rings..
They can be mounted to favor forward or rear mounting of scopes...
