Basic Rifle Course by SMC consulting.

Last weekend before the course...confirm zero and do a last minute equipment check gents.

SMC - Shoot, Move, Communicate is something John and I came up with. The point it shooting, moving and communicating are all basic skills, however being able to intergate them all, and do it under stress is what makes shooters great teammates.[/QUOTE]

Shoot move and communicate - same logo as sniper hide
Must be a popular phrase.

After reading your post the first thing to mind was that song..."send in the clowns.." But thanks for coming out.;)

Some people like guns. Some people use guns.

The difference isn't in your gun locker, it's in between your ears.

Some of the posts made here illustrate just another reason why it's so difficult to run a good tactical carbine/pistol/whatever course here in Canada.

I'm sure there will be glowing reviews from the course AAR.

Are you back on friendly shores?

Corrections Tac. ???

Those inmates locked up are pretty dangerous. Watch out for that food riot.
Pretty lame way to get into a L.E / Mil only course.
You don't even need any of those shooting skills to do the job, You can't shoot an inmate armed with a piece of rolled up paper.

"Hi, I work corrections...I need to know how to kill an inmate better"........(When I am not on Strike)

Why not Mall Security then....they are wanna-be's too.

I've seen a lot fo dumb things said on this forum but this takes the cake...Where's the ignore list?

Well either you are a comlete idiot or just an a**hole.....

First off, there are two types of Corrections in Canada, Provincial and Federal. In BC, Provincial are not armed but Federal Corrections are. As a former member of the Tac Team, (read: Hostage Rescue Team), we can and do shoot cons if required. Our team trained specifically for that task.

So you can blow me with your rhetoric....

Beautiful day at the range with some good shooting. Good mix of people with good attitudes. Nice to train with people who want to learn.

Wait, this course could never be successful with people advancing on a range and using big scary black rifles...

Where's the liberal twist?

Looks like fun! I'd go if one was put on in Vancouver.

Great course so far, fantastic group of guys, excellent day and another even better one to follow...

More pics will definitely be coming after the course is over.
