I had my appendix out last week so that has given me some time to do my own thing.
So i made my own stock. I like the straight grip but dont see any reason to pay extra.
Mine is made with a factory stock, a belt sander and dremmel

I think the BP rifle looks good. Remember boys and girls, it doesn't have to be black and full of lights and lasers to make it cool. English style straight grips are very practical, check out the Marlin guide guns. Their designed that way for a reason. And the schnabble fore end adds a bit of class to a generally ugly looking rifle. :D

As for the shnabble forend i wasnt quite sure how to do it so it is staying as is.

One more thought if its supposed to be a classic wouldnt they make a design that ruger used on their original 10/22?
But i guess they are still doing that.....the original 10/22, hey what can you do?

Tried to picked up 3 base model ruger 10/22 from bass pro shops back in april. They issued me a rain check however its now almost august and they still don't know when they will be receiving more. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I got mine 4 weeks after that. But never got a call for my .22 ammo.
