They have some fancy name for it and I cant recall what the guy said.

This has been a Public Service Announcement from....

The flyer is on their web site and there are some optics included as well as a small selection of firearms. Looking through the flyer I see that they have Irish Setter Tamarack boots for $120 - half price! Anyone familiar with these boots? Are they a decent product?

BTW - the flyer is called the Hunting Classic.

Go early if you want the one day specials! Last year the 12 gauge ammo was sold out before noon (on a weekday!) Also last year for the one day shotgun ammo sale, you had to get a coupon from a desk outside the front door & bring it in. Nothing like having a full shopping cart, then finding out you have to leave it to go outside to get a coupon. They never seem to have enough stock! I make the trip with $5.00 in tolls on the 407 each way, can't find the item & when I finally find a clerk " that sold out a long time ago". Plus the place is crazy, jam packed, wall to wall people on weekend. I try to go on a weekday, but then end up with one item behind somebody at the checkout who bought 150 individual fishing lures at the one cashier.

In order to avoid the crowd/queue etc I find the best time to be there between 8-10PM on a weekday....less hassle :)

BassPro is a terrible store. If you don't live close to there and plan on making a trip to get some deals....Call first. Lots of times they will put something like 50% off but only have like 2 of them in the store. They do this so you come down just to buy that one thing and walk out with a cart full of stuff.

happened to me last time they had this deal. They advertise a 93R17 camo savage for $289 and then they tell me they only had 2 in the store and they sold instantly.

Went there today made out pretty good but the ammo I wanted wasnt onsale and there was no way I was going to take a number and wait 1+hrs to get the ammo out then wait in line for the douch to take my pal info.......

I got two moultrie D40's for the price of 1, Camo pants for $40off, bunch of scent control stuff for 25% off, and some deer cain for 50% off

not to bad some good deals to be had but service sucked.

My buddy Jamie wanted to get a new shotgun but unless you already know what you want have fun cause the guys behind the counter know #### all about anyhting. They didnt even want to help when they found out Jamie was wanting info on what the best shotgun for him to buy was they just ignored us....you need to know exactly what you want before you go in cause there is no help or tips provided......needless to say Jamie wanted to buy either the rem1100 or the beretta 12ga and walked out with nothing......oh well

still a fun day

Just got back friday and some decoys from them. They have the WORST service every. I have had high school kids at Sobey's that's more knowledgeable than ppl working there. Some stuff is cheap, but you have to know your price. They were selling burlaps for 30 bucks!!

Was there on Friday night as well...wanted to buy the mossberg 500 with 2 barrels for $299, the one in the flyer is not the one they have there, the one in the store is not the cantilever style... Anyway had to wait almost an hour for my number to be called before I found that out....Some of the guys behind the counter can't be all that educated about firearms, the fellow didn't know the difference between the mossberg 500 and mossberg 535... If you know what you want you will do okay, just don't rely on staff for competency...

On Friday when I went I couldn't find scope bases for My Omega so I asked the guy. He took off for a minute and came back with a set of TC bases and assured me these were the ones. I thought they seemed a bit weird but figured I'd give it a shot. Couldn't have been further from the right ones.

Overheard a couple of employees talking about how Bass Pro is just Walmart of the outdoors. They didn't seeem too impressed with the place. i thought it was funny.

was there on sunday. there so called sale,,,, all the stuff taht was worth going there for was sold out by sunday . service.... well. like said... its kids on school break behind the counter....

I just got back from Bass Pro, and as others have said, what a joke!!! All the things I was wanting to get, were all sold out. Service was a joke. I waited 10 minutes at the gun room before I was told to take a number. So, I took a number. The sign said they were serving #22, and I had #23. Another 25 minutes later, I was finally served. I can't imagine how they work when the place is busy. The workers there just seem to disappear whenever someone is standing there waiting for help. I guess I should have know better.
