Bassett Machine Mount review

I got this in the email from Bassett awhile ago. It would be the answer to scope relief problems

"We are pleased to announce the public release of the new Bassett Picatinny Scope Mount for the M14/M1A. The first run of the new picatinny mount arrived from the metal finishers this week and we are preparing them for shipping.

Attached is a flier on it with some pictures. The website will be updated by Monday evening to include the new picatinny model for online orders.

You are receiving this email because you either previously ordered from Bassett Machine or you requested notification of the release of the new picatinny model. We do not and will not sell or share your email address or information with anyone. -Bassett

These pictures taken with:
· Weaver T-10 Scope with 1" diameter tube
· 50mm outside diameter Objective Bell
· Old-style Weaver Low rings w/large knobs
· Rear iron-sight is all the way down
This setup provides better than 7/16ths clearance over the hand-guard.
If you use higher rings, you can see more of the front sight.

And I thought I was on the "special list", anyways it looks good

Probably was on said special list, but I DID bug Romi a lot WAY before the scope was ready, when they were still testing prototypes and I was trying to get one in advance of commercial sales. Wanted a prototype to adapt to use a G3 scope ... but sold it off now. :runaway:

Well we'll be waiting for your review. I can only imagine it will be better re; eye relief, that's not a real issue with me and so I'm quite happy with my pre picatinny setup. Cheers

I am buying the mount because I plan to scope my M1A eventually and well I have been waiting so long it was burning a hole in my pocket so to speak, I dont have a scope to use and abuse for testing at this time. :(

The mount is still working as well as the clone scope. Took it out of my bag and mounted it today and it was still zeroed. Been in use for 2 years and counting. Off and on zero repeatable. Fantastic set up. Deadly accurate
