BassPro Canada no longer selling gun powder

Don't know if anyone else has stated it but, why just powder? They sell thousands of products. I'm guessing that are mostly manufactured out of Canada. I don't shop Bass pro, but do they not go bilingual for other products and that's ok? Would think that powder would be a profitable product. Sells itself.

Screw Bass Pro. Every other retailer of powder manages to put a bilingual sticker on powder and other products.

If they don't like the laws here they can pack up and head back to the Ewe Knighted Estates of Murica. No loss.

Meh. Their powder and primers always cost 2x what every other retailer asked and they probably didn't sell much anyway

I would have to question this french sticker thing. Many of the products we get on the farm come from the US and there is no french on the labels. We also get stuff that the directions in french and english are not the same anyways. Sometimes I have to use the french directions as the english make no sense if it was originally made in Canada ( Quebec) . I bought Remington gun cleaning wipes here that only have english on them. Given even they are sort of self explanatory to use.
One product they sell down in the gas station here the english directions make a joke on how to use it but the french they can't make the joke for obvious reasons.

Many products aren't considered hazardous, so they don't require the stupid bilingual labels.

The manufacturers do not French label powder, I know this for a fact. It is the import wholesaler that does it, which is why Bass Pro doesn't have it because they don't use this wholesaler. Canadian buyers tried to get the manufacturers to do it and were politely told to f**k right off. The importer then had to go and arrange for the French labelling and staff has to put it on every single container when it hits their floor, then rebox and ship to Canadian sellers...........how much do you suppose this costs us powder burners?
For the rest of you anti bilingualists, how about the fact that Quebec is the only airspace in the WORLD where pilots are allowed to speak another language than English..........we're aren't even allowed to speak French to the ATCs in France, how about that...........

I've heard a few funny conversations btw atc and a/c in France and it sounded French. And I can tell you that when Air France land in yul, they communicate in French.

Hopefully that will explain why BassPro isn't willing to go to the effort to add labels to every container.

Unfortunately, Quebec has been a liability to Canada for many years, and it will continue to be a liability for many years to come.

Isn't YUL in Quebec?

There are several countries where pilots can speak to their towers in languages other than English. Try this link and click on any of the Russian ATC feeds.

Bass pro and cabelas are both largely useless unless you want a Duck Dynasty t-shirt or camo toilet set cover.

I only time I ever set foot in the Big Box stores is when my locally owned and operated gun shop doesn't have or can't get (in a reasonable amount of time) what I need. Even if I was to order something on line I will always give the local guy first crack at my buiness.

I know they took the display case down at the Calgary location. Not like it really matters though, they never had any in stock anyways!
