basspro - out of stock for EVERYTHING!

I will, most likely, start calling their door-greeters by their first names in no time... :)

I predict that EVEN WITH the exchange rate difference, gas and duty, shopping junkets will still cost less in Buffalo vs Barrie. Not to mention the fact that the US store will probably be better stocked...

Oh Canada !!!

As it stands right now, I order most of my hunting gear from cabelas or Rogers, and have it shipped to my mailbox in Niagara Falls, NY. STHis just means that I will not have to pay shipping...Woot!

I just got back from visiting the wife's family in Barrie. While I was there I intended on picking up a press and everything to start reloading from Bass Pro in Vaughn. I arrive and find out the Rock chucker kit is $100 more than advertised online. I proceed to ask a employee why this is and I am told that they do not have a site for Canada, even though I clearly selected the Vaughn location. He then tells me I have to buy the kit there because they will not ship to Canada.
So I make the call to the 1 800 number and am able to order the kit cheaper with shipping and exchange than it is in store before taxes.
There was very little in store for dies and other needed equipment, I ended up going to Epps and picking up everything else I needed and just ordered the kit online.

Looking forward to cabelas in barrie.I order just about everything from them now cause I won't deal with bass pro anymore, they have rarely ever had what I go in there for either.

My buddy and i were just there last weekend, and we were saying that at the very least, make the stuff with the "Bass Pro" logo on them cheaper! you're advertising for them right!?
Went down the road to Sail and found better deals.

They often have stuff advertised on sale in the flyers without even having it in stock and on the shelves. A good example of this are the 10/22's the have on sale in the flyers. Why even put them on sale if you haven't even had them in stock for months, I guess its just to get people in the doors.
