I am just finalizing the parts for my rifle build and if prices are right ill grab one of these actions if not ill stick with the Remington 700 action i already have! Im trying to locate these actions in stock anywhere and would appreciate the help on where i could get my hands on one?

Well what are the bat and defiance running in Canada?
I was just quoted 1795.00 plus tax and shipping so 2000.00 for an action. People have built guns cheaper. In the states there running about 1100 so I figured between 1200-1400 sounded pretty close to what it should be and that's why I'm wondering what they are worth?

for what type of a rifle? If building a benchrest gun, go BAT or equivalent. If looking at a tactical/hunting rifle, just use the Remington. the "better" results you get from a custom, benchrest-tolerance action will be virtually undetectable. It is the difference between using mag wheels and using steel rims.
The cheapest way to get any custom action out of the US is to basically have the rifle built in the US and import it. There are guys in the US who will do the Export paperwork and NOT charge a arm and a leg for it.

I had a Defiance Rebel built with all the bells and whistles, and ATRS charged me 1800 to have it built and shipped to their door. That was back in February though, so I don't know what it would be now. As an FYI, Defiance originally quoted about 6 months to build one, but had it done in 4.
