BATTLE OF THE BULLPUPS with Jerry Miculek

I personally like the AUG better, but the TAVOR is available.

Better trigger, low bore axis ( almost like an AR), less unnecessary bulk, more compact and therefore easier to shoot well and accurately. The downside is that AUG cannot be submerged in water.

The TAVOR seems to be a more mechanically reliable system, but the ergonomic of the system is like an XL with lots of unnecessary bulk. The bore axis is high which is a big problem in close range. I can see the reason why the IDF is switching to the X95.

The FS2000 is a nice gun to shoot, but it can be rendered completely inoperable by stoppages that require complete disassembling to correct the issues. I am not too hot with airsoftish 2 piece clam shell bolts+nuts plastic construction either.

Yes, I will go out and buy an AUG if I can, and when X95 becomes available.

I agree with everything GT says except... My FS2000 works runs like a top with the right mags and ammo.

Stoppages can be annoying until you figure out what you did wrong as the operator. Then the gun runs fantastically.... That being said, I will be modifying my feed ramps to run more ammo types.
This is the nature if the beast when you want to use ammo that the rifle was not designed for.

Never held a real AUG, but I have held some very expensive and life-like airsoft ones, they felt small and streamlined like the T97. The Tavor is ergonomically chubby lol. I would say both the x95 and the MDR are both strong contenders to take the top spot for bullpups in Canada and the US once available to the general public.

How dare you compare an AUG to a T97!
I've only ever held one AUG and if we were allowed to own and shoot them here I would definitely give one a try.

You must take pedigree into perspective when looking at firearm manufacturers.
Aug. Steyr.
Tavor IWI.... Nobody makes better battle proven weapons like Israel
FNH. Again... Have they ever made a bad firearm.

Norinco..... Um.... It is what it is...

Wasn't that gun designed for 62 grain 556 nato? So any 556 nato should always work no?

Yikes! Why are your modifying your feed ramps? I've run hundreds of 55, 62 and 69 grain ammo (both .223 and 5.56mm) through my FS2000s with not one hiccup ever. Have you experienced any failures yet?
