Battle of the Shorty Bolt .22's

Bought my cz 10 rounders from dlask. They had the best prices and in stock when I was looking.
Is the Stevens trigger guard plastic? I swear I could drive nails with the Norc's bottom metal….

Thanks 4 mag well pics hamilton0729. I love to see a gun owner modify an arm to suit themselves.
Is the Stevens trigger guard plastic?
Yes - it is part of the molded plastic stock. Have yet to hear of any one breaking one off - think they are pretty tough and add to making the Stevens a lot lighter than the Norinco.

I have one, great little grouse gun...compact,accurate -the ideal truck or quad gun.Its not a collector ,it's not a bench rest target gun, it's not a showpiece,it's a functional .22 to carry with you and put small game in the pot.A Bushnell 4x rimfire scope is perfectly adequite for the job.

We just got back from moose hunting and my 'backpacker' put some grouse in the pot .....in my opinion this is the best use of the shorty 22's .....

My Norinco 'backpacker' cost me about $200 and the Bushnell 4x rimfire scope cost about $60 .....not a showpiece but does the job intended very nicely, simple, accurate and functional just as well as my BRNO it as copied from.Couldn't ask for more to knock the head off a grouse.I'm using 'quiet 22s' not so much for being quiet but for accuracy...25 yards or less is about the range I shoot grouse at
