Bausch & Lomb Elite 4000

They can call it whatever they want, but Bausch & Lomb is just a name they were licenced to use. Bausch and Lomb hasn't made a scope themselves since the 60s. Bushnel doesn't make scopes either. Its just a name.
My experience is that Bushnell will still look after Bausch and Lomb products. If they do not help you please post back to this thread. One of the most accurate gun/scope combos I have is a 25 years old Rem 700 HB in 22-250 and a B&L 4000, 6-24x40 AO scope. The scope is so old it does not have "Rainguard" coatings. For info if the model is a 4000...no rainguard but a 4200 does have the coating. My scope has never missed a beat and it is still in it's original Leupold bases and rings mounted by a qualified person (Bob Coffin... RIP). Phil.
Thats what I have. I found the eye relief a bit tricky on mine, especially at full zoom, so usually only go up to around 18. I need to shine it up a bit, and inspect it closer. It's on my 17 HMR currently. I also have two sun shades for it.
Phil there is few old first 4200 with no rainguard .... still good. i had a 1.6-6x36 4200 with no rainguard.

Yeah, the intell gathered is that that is the standard package handed out upon arrival in Hell. However every cloud has a silver lining; taking over will be easy.
I have that same scope. I find the crosshairs a bit heavy,
and unfortunately Trace Scope Repair couldn't change them because of the way the magnification works. Point of impact would change with power setting.
