They are similar to the Bushnell 3200 series. Bushnell decided against paying a royalty fee to B&L for the use their name. This resulted in a change of model numbers. The 3000 became the Elite 3200 & the 4000 became the Elite 4200.

Your B&L 3000 Elite is a good scope, not to worry about it. Owned a few of them, never once let me down. Same thing as a Bushnell Elite. Good glass. The 3200/4200 were upgraded, I believe the addition of Rainguard being one change.

Good scopes. I still believe Bushnell shot themselves in the foot by dropping the B&L name. It was always seen as their high end line, now everything has the cheapo Bushnell name.

Essentially the same scope, the bushnell elites do have rainguard coating added to the lense but that's about it.
