I think these binos are now discontinued, however, I ran across a NIB pair at my local sporting goods store. Checked them out and they were startling clear with excellen light transmission. Even got to try them outside for some "real" world testing. Only complaint with them was that they seemed a little narrow for my big melon, but nothing that would prevent their easy use.

Just wondering if anyone was using this bino and what their opinons of them where? They were priced a little under $500.00, but keep in mind this is a local sporting goods store, so I'm sure they're way over priced compared to the large wholesale stores like Russells, Wholesale Sports or LeBaron's...

Any feedback would be appreciated. I wonder how these compare to the new Bushnell Elite binos?

I've used the Discoverers for years, and they are very good glass- for the price. I think mine were $450 years ago. I've used them for all kinds of serious hunting trips and they worked well.

Many of my buddies commented that they were great.

However, now that I am using Leica Ultravids...Well you know:D

They are not in the same league as the Elite series. I put the Elites just abit lower than the real top end binos.:)
