Bayonet mount for Rem870??

allready been working on it for the last month.
Ive got a prototype for a bayo lug mag clamp and m1913 rail on the side.
its really really cool.
Just working on makeing it ambi so you can flip it arount to have the m1913 rail on the left or right hand side.
it will be cnc milled from steel and parkarised.
Dont want to post any pics of it yet as i,m sure it will change befor its ready to put into production.
But for them of you that have for the 870 or fabarms sling mounts off me you know how well i like to make stuff

I have one it screws on to the end of the chamber cap two sizes one for a 20 inch barrel and the 18.5 inch barrel I will post pictures. As soon as I find it.

could one not get the pieces from a Mossberg 590A1 and adapt them? Or get a front sight base for an AR and cut off the unwanted pieces?

I have a 590 with a Bayo..........

It's just that the 590 is a POS comapred to the 870!
Will buy a decent affordable bayo mount for the 870 if/when it is available.

I thought about that but its easiy to make that lug ......to make one all you need is a good hack saw, a vice and file .....oh and time

Hillbilly, I've never seen that set-up before... might work but you'd have to trade the mag extension for one of those and mount the bayonet on the barrel.
My wingmasters mag extensions have the (1" long) smaller diameter tube at the end, personally I'd rather have the bayonet mounted to that, I believe this was exactly the intention behind that design.

It almost looks like you could make one with a drill press and lathe and some filework. Oh, and lots of ambition. Damn. I hope the guys on Homegunsmithdotcom don't read this thread! There'd be hell to pay!

I made one for my 870 this afternoon, It works, very solid. It is milled from a solid block and clamps around the barrel and mag tube. I need to sand blast and parkerize it then I'll post pics.
