Bayonet mount for Rem870??

here are some pics of mine, pre-finishing touches. It is on a choate mag ext. it would require a remington mag ext. with the step to locate the guard on. I'll just turn up a step for the one I have. I didn't put a clamping bolt in yet but you get the idea. As I said earlier, I have to sand, sand blast and park. it. This is milled out of a solid piece.

new pics later post

I could make some for interested parties, what would an item like this be worth to you guys. If it was worth the time I could take a few days off work and make some. I have my choate tube ext. modified now. will post pics.

Most importantly, I am not a contributing dealer and don't want to break any rules as I love this site. As this would be low quantity production, I doubt anyone would be offended.

How long do they take ya, to make ??

I would pay ya about 40 off the top of my head, I don't know how long it takes ya (I don't know why I want one except for the lcf )now, if you could put a picatinny on the side for a flash light or a lazer ......hmmmn

pretty good job.....i think you should patent it or sell it to the CF

I'd be interested in a bayonet mount and maybe you could make a two piece clamp as well......just leave off the lug.

Don't take any time off work, to do it......do it in your spare time and whatever you do........make mine first!!!!:D

these pics show the mod. to my choate mag ext.
As far as I know, only rem. mag. ext. come with the step. (If someone reading owns a remmington mag ext. could you please measure the step dia. for me)

Yes, I can do 1913 rails as well, they are time consuming....

I'll measure my Remington extension when I get home tonight. Looks like you got a little carried away when you turned down your extension........seems a little small. The Remington step just fits the inside of the bayonet ring.

It doesn't move at all, it is locked in very solid. I just matched the size of the plastic insert that I took out of the choate. This is a first off deal so adjustments can be made to any future pieces

thats great,
thanks a lot. I am surprised they make them that tight, with all the different bayonet makers, you would think the tolerences would get sloppy, thanks again.

Why not just measure ID of the bayonette ring?

because rem. will already have picked a size small enough to fit all bayonets regardless of manufacturer (tolerances). I will parkerize this weekend and post pics.
