in IPSC the only rule on a holster is that it must cover the trigger 5.2.7.4.

as for the CR being to long for a production gun they are completely adjustable including length and will work with just about any gun. some of the HK's require more shims then are supplied i am told.

I have ajusted it OK but the frame is about 2'' too long

pics? I wouldn't cut the holster, as you can use that holster with a different gun later on.
