I am hunting in an are where geese are prevalent and was wondering if bbb and T size shot have any real goose hunting applications? Are they better for longer range where bb's lack power? or are they an answer to a non-existant problem? Also does anyone have any experience with the for geese or maybe for some other use e.g. Cranes or small aircraft?

I use #2's for geese until it gets cold, when they get a big layer of fat on them. I then switch up to BB's. Never had to use anything bigger. Speed kills with steel, keep it fast. I guess if you have them, use em, but I see no need to go out and buy them.

I shoot deuces or BB but I do know guys that shoot BBB. What I hate about this steel #### is you get holes in the meat big enough to stick your little finger in.

be careful with T's

if you are using T's - make sure you read the small game section where the heading shows "Firearms" and starts with the following - in an area where there is an open season for deer, moose or black bear.....

In summary, If in your area, bear deer or moose is open season you may not use T shot unless you hold a valid license for one of those above.

If you are carrying larger shot size over the BBB (steel) or BB (bismuth) than you have the potential to harvest a big game animal.
Therefore you are only allowed to use “T” steel shot as it is one size over the legal limit, while being the holder of the "in season" large game license.

I hope I didn't make that confusing.

Also be careful about pattern density. If you're shooting 3" shells you may find that with the (highly) reduced number of pellets holes may appear in your pattern. Problem should be non-existent with 3.5" shells though.
