BBD - PIC's

Wow! I have to admit, I'm pretty jealous. Very nice. That's a great memory that you and your son will always share.

Very nice track, I'm jealous I do not have a mule deer in my trophy room. Shot a couple forkhorns as a kid but haven't had a chance to hunt them seriously. Beautiful deer, congrats.

Douglas! I feel terrible for you... If you got a nice mulie, would you place the mount between your life sized hippo and life sized giraffe???

I scored the buck at 195 B&C gross typical. I guess that I was off by 5 inches and thought for sure he would go 200 plus. Regardless he is a great buck and I will always remember this deer as I had known him for two hunting seasons.

Great deer and cool story to go with it!
I'm using my trusty old .300 H&H this year as well. Its a 1941 vintage model 70.

What zone were you in? I managed to pull a muley buck tag in 152 this year. Some very big deer along the river, but I haven't come across the one I've been following yet...

Sorry I forgot to mention the cartridge, etc. Yes the Ruger #1 is chambered for the 300 H&H and was loaded with 72.1 grains of IMR 4350 behind a 150 Nosler Accubond.
