Advice. Looking for an excellent and reasonable BC gunsmith for 1911 trigger work. Have a couple of Colt Gold Cup Trophy 1911's that I want to get the trigger done on, from factory pull of 4 1/2 lbs to something around 2 1/2 lbs (obviously without ay hammer follow through on slide release). Please respond with either a reply of private message with your recommendations. Thanks.

Clearance weatherby at bumblebee custons, he was Gunners apprentice beforedhe retired.

He won't make you wait 6 months for a trigger job

Don't confuse Clarence with Gunnar, Gunnar did some fantastic work on 1911's, and I'm told Clarence's is even better....I have a cz75 with him right now...and as a bonus, Clarence answers his emails promptly...otherwise jo dlask is another 1911 specialist...would recomende either..

Gunnar did some great trigger jobs for me, and some super re-blueing jobs on my Smiths.

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack the thread, but how would you go about shipping a pistol to a gunsmith that is out of town? i.e. Clarence?

What are the legal requirements to ship it, since it is registered to you, but will not be in your possession (and could go missing during shipment)?

Have to agree ....bought my first two pistols from Gunnar, was always a stand up gent....sadly others had different experiences...spoke to him briefly a couple of months back...he's a knowledgable guy...

Gunnar is a stand up guy and was a great gunsmith. He is just not the greatest at answering email...or the phone for that matter. His work was a little slow but excellent.
