Bc 3gun championships

What!? That's unfortunate. I don't think I ever ate anywhere else any time I was in Lone Butte.

... does this mean we'll be reduced to killing and eating the weaker competitors or are there other good dining options?

There is a nice family type restaurant right in Lone Butte across from the gas station that serves good food for reasonable prices. There is also the barbecue that's taking place at the range, and there is the Red Rock in 100 Mile House that serves decent food/beer. You'll also find the typical Timmies, DQ, Subway, and A&W if you want something fast in 100 Mile. There aren't as many really good restaurants as there used to be here, unfortunately.

Range location?... GPS coordinates, description, anything.. thks

From the LBFWA website:

REDNECK 3 GUN LONE BUTTE
ADDRESS 5513 HIGHWAY 24
-
DIRECTIONS
-
Heading north: turn right onto Highway 24, heading east. There is a large highway sign that says Lakes District and Lone Butte at the exit to Hwy. 24
This is 7 kilometers south of 100 Mile House.
Go 2 k East on 24 and it is the next driveway on the left past big blue building, gate will be open Friday for RV’s. There is a large sign identifying the range.

Heading south out of 100 Mile House on Hwy 97
7 k and then turn left on Highway 24, then same as above.

Coming from Saskatoon take Highway 16 to BC. Turn left onto Highway 5 to Little Fort. Turn right at Highway 24 to 100 Mile House. About 6 miles from Junction of Highway 97 you will see a BIG BLUE building on your right, you just passed the entrance to the range. Hope you have a safe trip.

You have a safe trip as well. That is a long way to go for a shoot but glad you're coming just the same.

Just out of curiosity can anyone tell me what the weather is like at night up in butte??? I know its stupid hot during the day just wondering if it cools off to sweat pants and sweaters at night?

Cools off quickly in the evening. Bugs can be bad this time of year. Weather is forecast to be in the mid 20's with possible showers on Sunday. Yes, propane campfires are allowed.

Thanks for the feedback! Silveragent and a bunch of the rest of us are going up together. Is there a mcDs there? Timmie's breakfast is weak. :)

What an awesome match. Both the wife and I really enjoyed it. Friendly people. Thank you for all your hard work. Well worth the drive from Ontario.

Just wanted to say how amazing this match was this weekend. So much creativity with the stages and I personally loved Stage 1 - Boardwalk and Stage 8 - Clear the House. Great dinner bbq, lunches, and breakfast from the volunteers. Will come next year for sure. Shooting over two days at the range was awesome fun! Can't wait 'till next year!

Thank you, Brian and Brian and Connie! What a match. Never met so many nice people in one place. Our squad was the best. Great guys to shoot with. Glad my BIL and my shooting buddy from the coast made it. Was lucky enough to win the 50% off a Grizzly shotgun prize. Saturday barbecue was awesome. Thanks to the Lone Butte Volunteer fire department for being there and making breakfast and lunches. Fantastic burgers! Weather cooperated for the most part and no bugs to speak of. The stages, as mentioned were very well thought out. Some very fast- others more complex and challenging. Lots of variety. It was also a great match if you were just starting out in 3 Gun. Lots of help and encouragement. Lots of different equipment and layouts to look at and get ideas from. I know I need more shotgun caddies. Lots of great Redneck getups as well. Looking forward to next year. There was talk of Brian McCoy perhaps setting up some training sessions for people wanting to improve their 3 gun techniques and strategies. There was a great deal of interest and several of us said we would be there if it happened. Hope it does. Some pics from the weekend:

Huge thanks to the two Brians AND their wives and all the other volunteers who made such a great event possible. I still have a big smile on my face from the two days of shooting and the great hospitality. 100% awesome event. The stages were really varied and a awesome challenge to newcomers to 3 gun. My squad put up with our funny hula business and our personal disasters and kept it light throughout. It was great weather and the rain on the next day was actually a relief and it seemed like it let up just in time for us to shoot.

Marking it on my calendar for next year for certain.

Also huge thanks to the prize sponsors and to the two motels we used: the Westwood and 100 Mile.

Another huge thanks to the Brian's for putting on such an amazing event! PLEASE do another 3 gun next year as all of us from TWR will be back !! Another thanks for the ladies that put on an amazing spread for the BBQ dinner. Those beans were so delicious!! Cant for get a big thanks to Lone Butte fire dept. for making lunch and Sunday breakfast. And I know there was a ton of behind the scenes people that set up the stages and who now have to tear them down and clean up 1000's of pieces of brass and hulls.

We had a great squad from TWR, the Island and the Saskatoon boys that long hauled it in the rented van. I even made it 3 rounds in the shoot off before the rain poured down.

An amazing weekend was had by all and everyone that was there want's to be back next year.
