This might be a record for the BC CFO on a private transaction. I did a trade with a member here from Calgary. He phoned the CFO yesterday afternoon and received the transfer confirmation email this morning. Now that is nice to see. Thank-you BC CFO!

Take Care

Glad to hear that Bob. The QC CFO approval time is atrocious since late Jan. used to be 2-3 days not that long ago but 2-3 weeks is the norm right now.

I just bought something from someone in QC and something from someone in Ontario (I am in Calgary) - 1 day turn around on both from the Alberta CFO :)

Same experience here, transfer initiated on Friday morning, Monday morning at 9 am I had the transfer notification on my email, my new 1911 Sti Trojan is in hand now :)

Now to see how long it takes to get the actual registration before I can go shoot it!

Initiated one early March 6th. Completed March 7th.

My quickest was probably when I completed my part with the CFO on Monday just before closing, and by 7am the next morning I had my transfer notification in my email.

It's nice to hear that they are working efficiently but lets not forget that they really shouldn't have that job at all.

If you and the buyer call the firearm details and the buyers license info into the CFP that should be it. Once they confirm the buyer's RPAL is valid the transfer should be automatic and entered into the system by the call centre worker while you're still on the phone. They could give you a confirmation number that would act as your registration until the certificate arrived.
