Because I organized this event last year, I have had many inquiries about whether or not we were going to hold another....YES!
In BC, the Mission Rod and Gun Club and the Kamloops Target Sports Target Sports Association take turns hosting the BC 300M "Sierra Shoot". This is a 300M F-Class and TR shoot, with Benchrest, and sporter class thrown in as well. These are EXACTLY the matches that a competition-curious shooter should try. We have agreed that the club hosting the Sierra shoot will be the one to host the intro clinic as well.
This year it is Mission's turn to host the Sierra shoot, and in conjunction with that, they are hosting an introduction to competitive precision shooting clinic on March 28th.
ALSO, in addition to the Sierra Shoot, the shooting season begins on 10 April with a 1-day 300M match in Mission. This is a perfect start for new shooters and curious shooters.
WE NOW HAVE A SPORTING RIFLE CLASS!!! This means that you can compete with whatever rifle you own, as long as it it a factory rifle and has a factory barrel, trigger and action. This means you can compete without having to spend money on custom equipment.
