Where in the book can you find where certain regions are shotgun only vs rifles allowed? Some of the smaller specific maps say so, but some of them don't say anything at all. And when it says shotguns only, does that mean shot only, or can you use rifled or sabot slugs?

In area 2-4 (South of Vancouver), there's no mention of whether you can use rifles or it's restricted to shotguns only.

Thanks.

Edit: I think I found a partial answer. ''Municipal bylaws that affect the discharge of firearms and/or bows are not included in this synopsis. For more information, contact individual municipalities.''

Second Edit: You need to find local bylaw info for the Fraser Valley in the separate FV Special Area Hunting License. So basically nothing that can discharge a single projectile (rifle, slugs).

I believe it is specified when one can only use buckshot, otherwise a shotgun is a shotgun, no matter wheter using buckshot or slugs.

Strange thing, a Muzzle Loader is still considered a rifle and a rifle barrel shotgun is a shotgun.

I believe non hunters make these regs..... Oh deer! :)

I don't think the provincial government lists such places. There is a page showing what game can be shot with what firearm, but I think the regions of what can be discharged is left to the municipalities.

If you are in the Fraser Valley, grab a copy of the Fraser Valley Special Regulation (or something like that). It gives a pretty good map of where you can discharge what. It is mostly for water-fowlers but...
