BC Hunting license

You will need to buy a Non resident until you have been there for 6 months same if someone moves from BC to Ontario, NB, quebec etc.

Wow. Different part of BC than me, then. I've taken 49 so far since Sept and by April 30 I expect to top out at well over 100.

Yup. Depends on where you live and what you are interested in. You're the first person I've heard of with any interest in the critters.

I used to get excited about grouse too. Drive right by 'em now.

The OP will be in Ladner. He is perfectly placed for waterfowling once his residency is established. If he wants to find a snowshoe hare he'll have to drive 3 hours.

Yes, I have... DL, license plates... waiting for the Health Card (or whatever it is in BC). I chose Ladner as I really liked this small town (more like a village) and surroundings - close to work too...
I was very pleased to observe both - hunters and non-hunters sharing same public (hunting) grounds (marshes and Fraser River shoreline) and nobody freaks out seeing a dude wondering around with the gun on his shoulder - something totally unusual for ON ... Very nice.
