Anyone have any insight as to when our LEH FOR fall of 2022 will be available to put in applications. It’s been 22 years since I got a draw, and I itching to give another donation.

This is all the website says:
Wildlife data collection and decisions supporting Limited Entry Hunting (LEH) are ongoing. The opening date for 2022 Fall LEH applications will be announced as soon as possible. Please check back here for updates.

No idea. Late getting the draw open and will no doubt be late getting the draw done. How are we supposed to plan anything?

You aren’t, unless you’re First Nations.
Otherwise go to the grocery store and buy your meat you filthy colonizer.

You know as much as the rest of us.

This was posted by someone on HBC on Friday:

"Email them and got this message today

Hello,

We are getting close to publishing the LEH Synopsis online and that should happen soon, hopefully next week. The LEH draw cannot be opened until the Limited Entry Hunting regulation under the Wildlife Act has been signed and deposited into legislation. This has not been completed, and therefore the draw won’t be open for applications for a little while yet. Once we have published the new 2022-2023 LEH Synopsis online, a deadline date for LEH applications will be set, likely a few weeks from when we opened the draw for applications. Please note that these are still approximate timeframes only and there is no specific opening date or closing dates currently."

22 years? Here I thought I was having a long dry spell.

Yes, buy your meat at the grocery store where no animals were harmed. (A line taken from a letter to the editor from a anti-hunter.)
Some people are just, dumb.

Ya, I suppose the Blueberry decision has the Ministry rejigging everything to keep that group happy. Precedent set and we'll get screwed everywhere in the Province now.

people need to get educated. The Blueberry Band did not ask for this. The Blueberry Band made a public declaration in the media soon after John Horgan released these lies as his excuse for messing with BC hunting for Residents and Metis. John Horgan and his minister are lying to the public and made this all up on their own.

Dont anyone go blaming the natives for this. This is ALL John Horgan's NDP.

I've been trying to tell people, shooters and hunters, DON'T VOTE NDP! Not federally, not provincially. Horgan then calls a vanity election during the pandemic and BC idiots reward him with a majority! f:P:

Yes but I did get my LEH moose in ‘99. Lol.

I do believe it was the Libs that closed all the shooting areas in the lower mainland 5 years ago. They also gave us Site C dam which is not only hugely damaging to the environment, its a colossal waste of money because we don't need the power and it was built to provide cheap electricity for that LNG industry that has yet to materialize... Seems no party is good for us...

Fraser Valley shooting areas were closed by the Libs in April 2017. NDP was 'sort of' elected in May 2017. If they wanted they could have easily changed it back.

When NDP was elected Greens wanted Site-C scrapped but did not call NDP on it due to the cushy deal they made to keep the NDP in power. So - all of them are complicit in that white elephant and as you say 0 have our backs.

NDP has proven over and over (see Grizzly Bear hunting ban being a big one) that they refuse to look at scientific evidence to make decisions regarding hunting in this Province.

They will push their city folk bases belief that hunting is bad, as well as their do anything to placate the Bands even though the Bands don't want it ideas.

From where will the electricity come from to power everyone's EV's, heat pumps, etc, etc, etc? Are we going nuclear?

I reviewed the B.C, 2022 LEH and to put it mildly it pisses me off.
For a moment I will talk about the Guiding in B.C. I've sat in on these public meetings with Gov't over the years and going back almost 40 years it's always been the guides wanting to reduce the OPEN Seasons for resident hunters.
Finally they have achieved their goal, almost no moose hunting for resident hunters, BUT guides can bring in foreign hunters and sell the moose hunting to them.

IT IS MY OPINION GUIDING SHOULD BE ELIMINATED, ( by the way I did not hear of any reduction in the number of permits issued to the guides) .
The other group, a topic for another day.
