BC LEH results are in

Access their system once a year. So after fighting to get in for a day, I discovered what I already knew.

Nothing, 13 years and counting.

Thats rough. Are you putting in for tough-to-draw units, or just on a really unlucky streak? My buddy has never drawn a mulie doe tag, but hes always putting in for units with 15:1 or 20:1 odds and has only been at this for 5 or so years so I'm not really surprised - the one year I DID draw a doe tag I picked a unit with quite good odds, 3:1 or so I think it was.

Say 0 for 40ish. I've pared down to only a mule doe in areas with great odds and a region 5 Moose draw with good odds.

The system is broken. How does someone local, in a small remote community of say 400 get.a.Moose draw when you're competing with 1.5 million people in GVRD? If you live in one of those little towns, allocations should be weighted by postal code, it.just guarantees poaching otherwise. Counter productive, corrupt, and.poorly managed.like everything government. They lose money printing money FF sakes.

I disagree, where you live shouldn't dictate your chances of being drawn. We're all supposed to be equal aren't we?

^ location says it all

Are we equal in healthcare? Services? General contribution to the provinces economy?

Nope

Nope

Contribution to the economy? Metro Vancouver's gdp in 2017 was $136B, while BC's GDP was $240B. The gdp per capita is higher for Metro Vancouver than it is for BC as a whole.

It wouldn't matter where I live either. If I lived somewhere more remote I would just be happy that I could go deer hunting for a weekend without driving 6+ hours just to get away from the crowd funneling out of GVRD.

There's only around 100,000 hunters in BC

I've gotten a local moose LEH draw twice in the last 4 years, odds are 8:1

it's a completey broken algorithm that they are using for LEH
in 8-1 odds on moose in their so called "enhanced odds" a hunter should never see more than one moose draw in a given 4 year span , after receiving a tag.
My wife, a new hunter for 7 years now and also putting in at around 8-1 or better odds ( 6-8, 6-9) has not seen a single moose draw.... or any draw for that matter.

Argue this all your way. Then explain that.to a.low income family, remote, watching coast hunters with 140k in truck/rv/atv bring nothing to their community but disease.

What do you think is going.to happen, bullwinkle dies. Simply because there is no access to food, the.system is.corrupt.

Agreed, that's how it is. Locals should have first dips!
