It really sucks for us that have to book holidays 4-6 months in advance.
 
Not saying you aren't, but you'd have to be after some very particular LEH's to not have a general window that works for the LEH if you get it, or any of the over the counter tags if you don't. We're in the most blessed province for hunting, tons of options even if plans have to be tweaked.

I dunno about blessed in BC.

If I don't get local LEH, I hunt in other provinces. If I'm going to travel, I'm going to travel.

What is the arguable species? AK Moose or one of the sheep? Shiras Moose? AK Brown bear? Sasquatch....kidding

FYI Pelicans nest in the Chilcotin...amazing biodiversity here....oh and the most northern Species of Boa Constrictor near Quesnel....and the Largest Salamander....

You're joking I can only presume. 19 of the North American 29 big game animals, arguably 20, inhabit BC. That's more than any other jurisdiction on the continent. Unless you're into some pretty vanilla versions of hunting, BC is the best there is.

I agree Ardent. We are very fortunate here in BC. Somewhere in this province, for RESIDENT HUNTERS, there is a General Open Season for every big game species except for Grizz and Bison. If you are willing to travel within BC, you can have some of the finest hunting experience anywhere on planet earth.
 
I have stopped applying for the last few years, have a larger family and one of use to get a draw for something every year, it would just alternate between us, but after 10 plus years of us all getting nothing it has not seemed worth applying. I am fine with hunting open season as I have had to for over the last decade, but the LEH system is flawed.
 
results are out, they updated the website this morning and signing in may be a issue, plus traffic overload lol
 
WHAAA WHOOO...............group hunt for moose, expect to see 2 hanging this year in our camp
