BC lower mainland courses calendar?

There is usually a bunch of events in Abby, check the calendar, I know they just had an IPSC shoot, but they also have pistol training every Friday and Saturday night. Chilliwack just had a Tactical rifle qualifier on Saturday. I'm sure a couple of guys will chime in soon with more info

I'd love a dmr course. Abby though is just 100 yards. but if the steel targets are small enough at 100 yards it would work and there is a pletora of them with moving ones yah that would be fun.

Yes, Still Alive is a part of it, I believe a couple of other CGN'ers also, Phat Eagle is also involved. I was supposed to take the course this weekend, but work interfered, I was not happy.

10-4 good buddy! No DMR stuff though. But we do shoot out to 200m depending on the stages. TMSA caps at 100yd, like Abby, but Chwk can double that. We shoot on the move and the last match, we managed some AR500 steel.

What about the CQB stuff at Abby? Or 3G?

yah missed out on your qualifier, way too busy with the baby this winter.

cqb is ok, but i really want to improve at distance offhand unsupported. like a 200 yard hostage shot unsupported under 1.5 seconds

who offers 3g type courses?

200 yard shots for 3-gun the only thing at the moment is the Lone Butte Redneck match July 8 & 9.

You can check with Maverik (Curtis) to see what is going on with 3G at Abby.

I also heard that PoCo will be doing more multigun this year.

I don't think there's any DMR courses in BC that fit your requirement of 200yds, unsupported, in 1.5 seconds on a hostage target!
I doubt even ERT can make that shot. Bipod extended and head shot at 200yds with magnified optic is another thing altogether.
Maybe Tactical Teacher can come out to Lone Butte again for his Service Rifle clinics?
Also, I heard Maverick isn't running his CQB practices now due to work and family commitments.

lol thats way too easy, even swinging my dueling tree fast at 200 supported with an acog is way too easy for me.

unsupported from a low ready and fast with safety on, now thats a whole different story, then rapidly shifting between targets unsupported at 200 now thats hard

lobe butte is a long way away for me, at least what 2 hotel nights? dunno if I can commit that time

The Redneck 3G is fully booked this year. I'm riding up with a few guys. You're welcome to come with us if you're ok to pitch a tent if there is a cancellation between now and July! We have a place to set up for free and hot water showers also!

Unbelievable how quickly BC matches are filling up this year. There is definitely a demand for more multigun matches around the province.

Can't help you with 200m hostage unsupported... Maybe PRS?? For CQB DSSMatch.com schedule has been updated. Just held a qualifier at Chilliwack. More qualifiers scheduled for TMSA on March 25 and PoCo on Apr 30 (though that date may change).

i guess i might have to buy a few more steel targets and run my own course of fire, just wish there were a few experts there to help me unlearn the bad habits i picked up along the years

im surprised there isnt more interest in dmr course of fire given our long canadian barrels for all our nr guns which really push those rounds out pretty damn fast.

PE and StillAlive, ill subscribe to that april 30th one, thats the only free weekend i have in April as its a weekend im in between mba courses, i guess i'll bring the colts out to play.

Bad news... in the 20 minutes since I posted I've been told that date conflicts with the open house at PoCo, so its changing.... D'oh! Maybe the new one will work with the sched...
