man I love that system you have setup on the TMSA website HB. I'd really like it if you had a calculator on there as well for figuring out our percentage of A's and stuff. (I guess we'd have to enter that info in ourselves).

had a good time. some of the stages were pretty crazy and or neat.

I finished more or less where I expected. I'm still a newbie. I'll get better over time. :)

I'm really disapointed I didn't come home with a new glock 22 though :D

Great match and met some new people. Came away with my first trophy and a magwell to build an open gun around:eek: . Now just have to get rid of the cement block and quit throwing air balls.

Thanks to all the people involved for putting on the match.

yes perhaps it should be mentioned that there were, I believe, 7 firearms given away last night. All on a draw basis, not on a placing basis, the way a prize pool should be handled IMHO. On top of the guns there were tons of other prizes, something like 135 in total.
When did the DQ'd people get let back into the draw though? The last thing I'd heard was that if you were DQ'd you were out of the draw.

The rationale I heard was based in part on how the draw was done.

First of all, you had to be present to qualify for the draw. Working was also a requirement for shooting the match. Many of the people who DQ'd on the first day did not bother showing up for either their work schedule or the awards on the second day. However, there were some people who did show up to work even though they were DQ'd. Entering them into the draw was kind of a token way to say "Thank you for your integrity in showing up to work even."

Some of the other people who were DQ'd on the second day had already put in a full day's work. Entering them into the draw seemed like the right thing to do, considering how much time they had put in to make the match run smoothly.

After doing so much work to help get the match organized, it took me a long time to get back into the competitive shooting mode; I had 3 misses and a brain fart on the first 4 ranges I shot. Luckily, I was able to settle down and start shooting points. Since most of the top shooters were shooting on the second day, I spent most of Sunday watching to see how the other top shooters were doing. It all came down to the very last stage. I'm glad my shooting was done; I probably would have choked.

well from the little bit I saw of you shooting, you looked more relaxed than normal. Maybe you should always be worn out before a match, and not practice?
now get to bed you have school in the morning.

Ha Ha...

Hungry Beagle was awesome. Watching him and Frank witht he rest of the Alberta 'sharpshooters' make me feel very inadequate.

Where was Slavex when I needed my Teddy Bear hug ?

I agree that the stages looked normal on paper but was very challenging.

Had two failure to engage because the timer sucked my brian cells away. Those new timers , grrrh...

Very good course design. Congratulations HB and Thank You to the Match Director and everybody that helped

Heh, actually, I almost forgot about poor Crapshoot, who installed a new magwell on his gun, and found out the hard way that it wouldn't fit into the box.

Bump -> OPEN!

Irony of ironies...he won a magwell from the prize table. :) Maybe he'll have better luck with this one.
