Out of all the CFO's, MB seems to be the most efficient (quickest) by a wide margin. Here in BC, the longest I have waited for a restricted transfer was 3 days, the shortest was 2 hours. The last one I did just recently took about 24 hours. It must suck to live in ON or PQ.

CURRENT WAIT TIME TO RECEIVE TRANSFER BY Canadian Firearm Program IN British Columbia

IS THERE ANY ONE HERE THAT KNOWS THE CURRENT WAIT TIME TO RECEIVE TRANSFER BY Canadian Firearms Program IN British Columbia ??

I called in today 24 times. Was on hold 3 times but they hung up on me after 20 or so minutes. You know what they say, 25th time is a charm.

The lady on the line was very nice and I asked her what the approximate transfer approval time is. She replied that it is between 4 and 12 weeks.

Hope that helps.

might as well get comfy I just got a new reg number and the number of applications has almost doubled

Number of reg numbers between orders

19,717 #’s June 24 to July 23 1 month between

37,510 #’s July 26 to August 26 1 month between

1,788 #’s July 23 to July 26 3days between

Not sure why you guys endure the pain. Call in and get it done on the phone. I did, twice and got the registration a week latter.

what all did you say to get it done? a lot of the folks are first timers did you ask straight out or beat around the bush? lol I dont want to screw up sent back to the bottom of the stack but its getting excruciating

FYI the RCMP have added another section to the my webservice portal on your RCMP account. you can now do and check ATT requests online I do not claim to understand it all but just putting it out there so along with change email, home address phone numbers check transfer approvals restricted and non restricted you can do a little more :)

Call CFC, use extension 9530, talk nicely and politely to the agent. Ask if they can complete your transfer. Give reference number, if they are accommodating (usually are) they will send the approval to your email and ask you to verifty you got it while still on the phone. Thats it.
