BC Tactical Precision Rifle Championships 2006 Course Of Fire

If I still have this one, it should be good to go, just confirm and walk away. Cuz my ability puts me middle of the pack anyhow. But if I get a new one by then, weeeeellllllll....... no I'll zero it myself.
However I've heard Rooster33 might need someone to zero his??????

Question: support

So, unless otherwise specified, any front and any rear support is allowed eg: bipod, rear spike, bags of any variety?

Hope we can shoot those clays, sounds really great.

hmm I think that the concept is to keep it field like, so I guess it depends on the course of fire involved. If it's a police type, rear bags might be allowed, but if it's military like maybe not? but then again what the hell do I know?

AJ I will definately bring it.I can bring it out to an SR match if you're going to be at any of 'em.

Walter. The entry forms will have all the rules printed out on them.I believe it was front rest of a bipod, rucksack or sandbag. No rear rests including mono pods...but I'll have to check again.

I seem to be getting some flack over the dots of doom and the castle type shoot.Just so everyone knows, the castle shoot doesn't involve any wood frames.Only paper. It's really very simple.
The dots of doom match I picked up from the guys that run the McMillian Sniper School while I was down shooting the Gale McMillian Memorial Match.I've done it 2 years in a row and am doing it again this year. The school teaches military AND police snipers and they use this match at the competition is a concentration and wind calling exercise. If it's good enough for the guys that teach the pros it's good enough for us too shoot too.Seems like some people want me to make it easier.Well I ain't gonna. If you are confident enough in yourself and your gear and your spotter to make a good call on the wind, then whacking the .75 and/or even the .50 MOA dots at
100m shouldn't be that out of reach. The .25 is just there to add the "should I?" factor.

Some have asked what the training value of some matches are.Like shooting off roof tops all skylined and such.We my answer is this. This match has NEVER been a totally tactical training experience.Instead I like this match because it challenges the shooters to invent and adapt to new shooting positions and scenarios that they might not have done before and may never do again....but then again they might. And it might save thier life,or someone elses because they have done it once before and know what to expect. So for anyone worried about skylining on a rooftop...its ok.We know your not supposed to.Relax and have some fun.;)

Was it 200m last year?I can't remember.Somehow I doubt I would have hit the .75 at 200m....but maybe?A
Anyways well do it at 100 this year.It will still be challenging.

I think it was 200m because I remember adjusting my scope one 1/4moa and getting a 1/2" shift when I just wanted 1/4". A huge d'oh!
