Thinking about buying the scout mount from BC tactical for my sks , can't shoot #### with the stock irons . Does it hold zero ? Any problems with it ect ? Any one who has one please give your 2 cents .

Personally I've had one and it worked fine. Very limited as to what red dots work with the mount without taking the dremel to it. This is due to the small rail.

I would say you'd be better of with the mag wedge rail for $99 from can am. For the extra $35 it's far superior. Only down side is if your dead set on using stripper clips it blocs access.

Hope that helps.

that's exactly what mine looks like -except it's not broken of course..
I've been lucky running without a deflector. No issues yet. Probably courting disaster though.
Only problem is when smoke is pouring out of the chamber after dumping a ton of rounds. Gets a bit hard to see through the fog.

How many rounds have you shot through it with the mount ?

Hmm I want to get it but I don't want a shell deflector. Don't want to drill any holes and trying to make it look half decent . Debating on just getting cz 858 but I guess those aren't much better for mounting optics .

There's the new CZ958. I have the BC tactical mount and it's been good to me. I love using stripper clips with it. I also cut the side of the receiver so the opening is square. The casings eject more out to the side now and not forward. My optic has been fine for 300 rounds or so.

Looks good what kind of red dot is that ?

I'd love to put a small red dot (like a Jpoint or the like) on my SKS's but everything is so damn high. WIsh there were a way to get one low on an SKS.

I too agree with MuthaFunk. The easy receiver mod to have the shells eject more forward to the right would be 'better' than a deflector. Just for appearance IMO. Works for mine with a scope.
